My Project

Hi,

Upon seeing all the shops closing down, and homes going on the market, I felt I needed to find a way to capture some of it. Several months ago, I began taking hundreds of photos all over the area. I'd stop on the way to and from work, I'd go during my lunch hour....any chance I could.

Somehow, the sadness inside me needed an outlet. As helpless as I still feel in this economy, doing this slideshow helped me to put my energy into something. Some of the photos have subtle messages, others are just pure and simple. In any case, please have your speakers on and take a peek at my little venture.

Thanks much.

Nancy that is amazing. Very emotional and well put together. I loved the one store front picture that had the American flag reflecting in the lease sign. And that one sky shot, the two wisps of clouds looked like doves.

I can't tell you what a great job you did on this project. It is that good.

You did a fabulous job with it! I love your nature bursts throughout, timed with the song. We are seeing a lot of things for rent/sale around here too. I love your piece!

Nance, that's one of the finest pieces of work I've seen in a while. You've outdone yourself.

BTW, who was that masked man with it's face betwen the stair railing?

Nancy, this was so moving I found myself in tears. The same is true in my town and probably every town in the united states. Our downtown is almost empty of anything but lawyer offices. Great job.

Wow! Nancy you really captured it all. It tears the heart into and is so scary for all.

May I use your link to this? I am doing a side Ann's Journal about ways to survive in different ways during this difficult time. From gathering Wilds foods to even Homelessness.

Yes, I even found a guide for being a homeless person with tips/the ropes on how to survive out there. It was someone who chose to do it when times were better in the World.

Hugs,
Ann

Wow.

I am so deeply moved by this, Nance. Throughout your slideshow, I found myself thinking of all the families and lives impacted by the loss displayed in your photos. How less fortunate those around us are than we can come close to even realizing. You did a real good thing here, my friend. I'm so glad you found this outlet, and hope you'll continue to pass it on.

Wow, Nance, that brought tears to my eyes. You really have completely outdone yourself. Beautiful, yet tragic.
