Extra Credit

For the Monday Photo Shoot, Carly offered us "extra credit".
She says:
Extra Credit: My favorite bird is the Snowy Egret, like the one you see above. I would like to see either an Egret or a Heron, but if you don't happen to have them in your area, any white BIRD will do as well. :)

Enjoy....

Beautiful Blue Heron! I am unsure of the one with it, it is from the Heron or Egret family... right? If you know which one it is specifically, please send me an email.

Those are great photos. I was wondering if that was a nest too. Do you know what kind of bird that is? I love the second one, with the marvelous reflection.

Oh, these are WONDERFUL shots! Every once in a BLUE moon, I'll spot a BLUE heron (go figure...) either taking flight or sitting stoically on the bank of a stream. They are beautiful creatures, in my opinion. I love just love how you've captured them.

I recently saw a heron again in the area of the Crab Orchard Wildlife Refuge I live next to. I see eagles daily, as I noticed you do also. The photos you have taken of these birds are fantastic. mark
