Winter Visitors

Hello,
For the Round Robin challenge, we were to post anything, as we suggest that idea for future challenges. Then we're supposed to come up with ideas for two more challenges. This idea/photoshoot is, "Wildlife"...anything that you feel would fit that (could be a child!). So here is my entry:
What a magical weekend it has been...

Since we've moved to the country, we've gotten to see some pretty incredible wildlife. I try and have a camera ready, but that's not always possible. Fortunately, I was quick enough to get the following shots. Although they could be better, considering they were taken through a window on a snowy day, I'm grateful!

(The first 2 are of a Fox in the front of our house...the last 2 are of a Bald Eagle in the back of our house)

My ideas for future challenges are:
1. "Strangers "
Shoot people or a person, that you don't know (by shooting I mean with your camera)! If they are able to be identified, try and get their permission first.
2. "What you want, but can't have" (self explanatory)
3. (I'll throw in one more) How about a "Guess what this is?" This often works best when it's a macro shot, but it's not always necessary for a fun guessing game.

Hey Nancy -- what gorgeous environs and wildlife in your back - or front - yard! Wonderful photos!

I like your RR ideas too. I LOVE the guess what it is idea - I've actually been thinking of starting up a meme around that. I've had fun in the past with macro shots and having people identify them.

Happy Sunday!

Hi Nancy :)

The pictures of the wildlife in the yard are breathtaking! I have always wanted to see a fox but never have! The eagle is just as beautiful! Well done! Good ideas for upcoming challenges, I especially like "What you want but can't have," lots of room to dream!

As I said, WELL DONE!

Always, Carly

You live in such an incredible place. I'd occasionally see a fox in PA, but I've never seen a bald eagle in the wild. Next time I visit, make sure you arrange for him to drop by.
:)

Fantastic pictures! The wildest life I get around here is deer and the occasional stray cat. ;-) Sometimes there is a skunk smell at night, too -- ewww! Good ideas!

I love your shots. We don't see many fox around here and the eagles stay by the river. I like your suggestions for future photo shots.

I see Bald Eagles in Wisconsin during the summer months. I have never been able to get a shot because they fly by so fast. When they are in the trees more tree branches show up than the bird. I love your wildlife shots! Keep on clicking that shutter.

Cool ! That is another reason I miss the Ranch in W. VA. Even if there might not be film for the camera, it made lasting memories of the exciting scenes of the wild life traveling through. Or the deer you had to move out of the way to get off the porch step! No really! They knew the hunters were not going to shoot me? Talk about faith on the deer's part!

These gave me goosebumps, Nance.. Would have loved to have been there for these very special visits. Heck, I'd love to be there period. I have never seen a bald eagle other than in a sanctuary. Thank you, for sharing new friends!

You have such great opportunities for capturing wildlife photos where you live by a river, and forest. I see flying eagles, even in a flock once, but regularly looking for rabbits, or birds over the pasture. I hear coyotes at night. I get to see the stars very well away from city lights, and in the refuge area and low population. I have one more new photo on my blogger/journal. mark

I meant to write that the fox photo(s) is great, as wild animals look so different and attentive, etc. The eagle is just majestic. mark
